April 2011 Papertrey Blog Hop

I have been MIA for about a month. Life has been super busy and I just haven't had time to post. I have made a few projects, just haven't had any extra time to get pictures and blog. But, I am hoping life will be slowing down a big now, just not too much! :)

So, there is nothing like a PTI blog hop to get you back into blogging. This month's challenge is to create a project for a man or boy. Read all the details here.

I decided to use Boy Basics: Out of This World. My 3 boys LOVE that set. I am constantly die cutting and coloring little rocket ships and moons for them to run around the house with. So, this card was inspired by them.

Here is what I came up with.

There is nothing really unique about the card, but I had fun making it. Thanks DJ, Dean, and Dash for giving me 10 minutes and letting me keep one of the rockets I die cut and colored for this project. Love you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Adorable card! I love how the black paper just is not too "dark" -- it just goes so well with the theme! Cute boys too!

Stephanie

Okay......The first thing I want to know is did you get the color inspiration from your boys picture underneath your card?? LOL Great job on this one and the bright red rocket is just awesome! Thanks for sharing it with us for inspiration!

Jen Carter

Tracey McNeely

Christina

This is fantastic, Laura! I love the way you stamped the stars on a dark background. I am constantly stamping rockets and cars and trucks for my little guy to color. Thanks for sharing that great picture of your boys!

Diane Jaquay

LOVE the starry background you created, perfect for that cute rocket!!

sillyleann

I love the colors. It is so dramatic and perfect for boys!

Chris Simon

I love the way you put the partial mat stack die cut off-center on the card. It really makes it look like your "universe" goes on much farther than the edges of the card. Great job!
