7 years already?

My anniversary is Sunday. I've been married for 7 years. It seems impossible. Time goes by so fast when you are in love, I guess!

My hubby's favorite color is orange. It was a great opportunity to pull out PTI's Orange Zest, which I usually only use around Halloween! I was also excited to use Enjoy the Ride, which I finally got around to purchasing and came in the mail today. I thought that this masculine card was the perfect opportunity to try Nichole's frame technique.

Here is what I came up with.

The frame really helped finish the card, I think.

Stylish Blogger Award

I am totally honored that sweetie pie Amy Beth over at Bearpaw Studios gave me a Stylish Blogger Award. The only blog award I have received. Thanks, Amy! Sorry it has taken me so long to get around to posting!

1. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a mother, but the minute I became one, I knew I was always meant to be a mom.

2. I am a certified yoga instructor, but haven't taught since I had my 2nd child.

3. When I was 24 years old I went to a Stampin Up party that my now husband's cousin invited me to and said, "Making cards just isn't for me." LOL!

4. I am terrified of snakes.

5. I secretly like it when my kids crawl in bed with me in the middle of the night when they are sick or have a bad dream. I cherish these years when they are young and still want/need to cuddle.

6. I am one of those people who actually like to exercise, even though I don't look like I am.

7. I was born a country girl, but have always been a city girl at heart.

8. I am grateful that Papertrey Ink not only expanded my stamp collection, but also my circle of friends.

April 2011 Papertrey Blog Hop

I have been MIA for about a month. Life has been super busy and I just haven't had time to post. I have made a few projects, just haven't had any extra time to get pictures and blog. But, I am hoping life will be slowing down a big now, just not too much! :)

So, there is nothing like a PTI blog hop to get you back into blogging. This month's challenge is to create a project for a man or boy. Read all the details here.

I decided to use Boy Basics: Out of This World. My 3 boys LOVE that set. I am constantly die cutting and coloring little rocket ships and moons for them to run around the house with. So, this card was inspired by them.

Here is what I came up with.

There is nothing really unique about the card, but I had fun making it. Thanks DJ, Dean, and Dash for giving me 10 minutes and letting me keep one of the rockets I die cut and colored for this project. Love you.
